Condolence From: Lee Webb
Condolence: I was in the Air Force at Vance AFB back in the '50s, and worked part-time at KCRC as transmitter engineer & late-nite jazz DJ. Jim (Hawg Jaw Hannon) was the country music DJ there, and he had a big following. I went on several remotes with him, we built up a small remote desk for him to do basketball games, etc. Fun guy. He used to say they played both kinds of music: Country and Western. His trademark slogan was, “Shoot Low, the sheriff’s on a Shetland”. Rest in peace, Jim.

Condolence: Always enjoyed listening to Jim on the radio back in the 1950's. I think he went by Jim "Hog Jaw" Hannon or something like that. Condolences to his family and friends.

Condolence From: Rosie Stubbs
Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Jim during his oil industry days. He was such a nice man, with a great sense of humor, and a hearty laugh! He adored his sweet wife, Glenda, and they made such a wonderful couple. My thoughts and prayers are with Glenda and their children.

Condolence From: charley grayson
Condolence: Jim was a valued friend for the past 50 years..we hunted together, members of several hunting organizations, some of which we are past presidents, civic organizations, and many, many friends. Jim used this sign off when he was on the radio for a number of years "it's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." Well, Jim, you were important, and you were also nice. You'll be missed, but I have so many fond memories to remember you for the rest of my life...I can't make it to the funeral, my wife, Donna, has COPD and I can't leave her alone that long..
