Agnes Young

Funeral services for Maxine Young, 91, of Enid, will be Friday,10:00 AM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Interment will follow in the Enid Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 7 PM.

Maxine was born at Kingfisher, October 28, 1921 to Robert L and Agnes L (Jewett) Roten and the family moved to Enid shortly thereafter. She attended the Enid schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1939.

Maxine was a longtime member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

She was married to Elmer A Young in 1948. She owned and operated her beauty shop in the home for 32 years, retiring in 1987.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer who resides at the Sterling House, two sons, Gary Young and his wife Sherry and Jerry (Duke) Young both of Enid, seven grandchildren, Kurtis Young and his wife Cindy, Rodney & Susan Young, Tracy and Paul Henderson, Jamie Moore, Kim Young-Stone, Hillary Young, Luke & Jackie Young and thirteen great grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Joann Roten and Faye Ramirez and her husband Albert (Lefty) Ramirez, Robert Roten and his wife Floreine Roten and one son, Albert (Al) Young.
