Charlene was born on October 30th, 1947 to Francis & Alice Faulk in San Diego, CA. She was the 2nd in a family of five children and as a Navy child spent most of her early years moving around bases across the country. She lived in National City, CA, Oak Harbor, WA, Jacksonville, FL and Corpus Christi, TX. Her father passed away unexpectedly while in Corpus Christi so the family relocated to Westmorland, CA where her mother was born and raised. Charlene went to grade school and junior high in Westmorland and graduated from Brawley, CA High School in May of 1965.

Charlene met J.T. Boydstun, Jr. while he was stationed at the Navy base in El Centro, CA and they were married on July 3rd 1965. J.T. and Charlene lived in El Centro from 1965 - 1967 and after J.T. completed his Navy service, the couple moved to the Los Angeles area where he worked for Sears & Roebuck Company and she worked as a bookkeeper.

June 1st, 1969 was the best day of her life when she gave birth to J. Eric Boydstun in Orange, CA. They remained in Orange for a couple more years, then moved back to Campo, CO to take over the family farm in September 1971. The 2nd best day of her life was when she gave birth to Todd Matthew Boydstun on December 17th, 1971. Charlene raised the boys and helped on the farm driving tractor and working cattle. In 1977, she got a job as secretary for Campo School, mainly to keep her eyes on her two mischievous boys. It was there that she made friends for life with the other employees, teachers and coaches at the school. In 1983, the family left Campo and farming and moved to Boise City, OK where J.T. and Charlene purchased the Montgomery Ward catalog store. They managed the store until 1985 when Montgomery Ward decided to close it’s catalog division. From there, Charlene went to work for Cimarron County hospital and then on to work for First State Bank of Boise City in 1987.

J.T. passed away suddenly in April of 1992 yet Charlene continued to live and work in Boise City. She remodeled her home with the help of Todd and turned it into a beautiful house. In 1996, Charlene decided to move to Trinidad, CO and work with her best friend, Hope Brunelli at her tax office. She enjoyed working there immensely but did miss her friends in Boise City. On October 29th, 1997 she got the best early birthday present, her first grandchild Presley Ann Boydstun was born in Norman, OK. She didn’t want to leave her side, but Hope had planned a surprise 50th birthday for her back in Trinidad. Her mother and sisters were visiting from California. Along this time, Charlene began dating Robert Wilson from Boise City and they married in Las Vegas, NV on January 17th, 1998 and she moved back to his ranch in Boise City, OK. She was a rancher’s wife again and helped Bob on the farm with whatever needed done. She also gained more grandchildren from Todd & Jennifer and from Bob’s children as well. She was an incredible “Grammy”. She always had activities for the grandkids when they visited and as they got older, she would take them on rides on the four wheelers.

Bob passed away in 2013 and Charlene continued to live on the farm until she moved to Enid, OK in 2018 where she lived until her death.

Charlene is survived by her sons Eric and Todd, Daughter in Laws, Peri-Ann and Jennifer, 9 Grandchildren, Presley, Piper, Brooke, Bodie, Darci and Courtney and her Great Granddaughter Charlie.

She left an incredible legacy of love and friendship with so many people in California, Colorado & Oklahoma and Texas.
