A Memorial Service for Beverley Joanne Williams, 63, of Waukomis, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Susan Southhall officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Beverley was born October 5, 1958 in Enid, to Ralph O. and Marie H. Balden, and passed away Sunday, May 22nd at her home.
Beverley was a long-time resident of Waukomis. She graduated with honors from Phillips University in 1994 (B.S.) and 2018 (M.Ed.). Beverley was a long-time social worker for the Social Security Administration and the State of Oklahoma, as well as a long-time employee of the Enid News & Eagle. After retirement, she worked at the NWOSU Enid campus.
She enjoyed cooking, rock collecting, and philosophical discussions. She was a fierce advocate for and lover of dogs and supported several animal rescues.
She is survived by three children; Michael Drew Williams and wife Kellina; Devine Williams of Kansas City; and daughter, Jennifer Leah Williams and partner Tim Coghlan, of Chicago; three grandchildren, Roxas, Kellis, and Oliver; a brother, Byron Balden of Enid; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Bradley Balden.
Memorial contributions in Beverley’s name may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
