Elma Wichert

Funeral services for Elma A. Wichert age 103 of Enid will be 10 am Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Tom Carruthers officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Elma was born November 8, 1910 in Halstead, Kansas to Robert A. and Elvina Gerald Mitchell and passed away April 8, 2014 in the Highland Park Manor. She moved to Cheyenne Valley, OK at a young age. She married Dan Wichert on December 13, 1937 in Fairview and he passed away on June 28, 2004. She worked at Gibson and TG&Y Department Stores for several years. Elma was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church.

Elma is survived by her three sons, Johnnie and his wife Darlene Wichert of Waukomis, Glen and his wife Glenna Wichert of Enid, and Robert and his wife Gracie Wichert of Bella Vista, Arkansas, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, two sisters Francis Albright and Thelma Bowers both of Fairview and several nieces and nephews.

Elma was preceded by her 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and a great grandson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds. Condolences may be made online at www.ladusauevans.com
