Graveside services for Roberta O. (Parker) White 82, will 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 4, 2010 at Ames Cemetery. Her son Rev. Danny White will officiate the service. Burial will be in Ames cemetery. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Roberta was born July 20, 1927 to Blake and Georgia (Wyatt) Parker in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. Roberta died April 30, 2010 in Carmen, Oklahoma at her granddaughters home. Roberta married David White in Rogers, Arkansas at the age of fourteen. They sent their life together living and raising their family in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Oklahoma. After 64 years of marriage David passed away in 2006. Roberta moved to Enid at that time and the last couple of months with her granddaughter in Carmen.
Roberta loved to write gospel songs and poems. Mrs. White loved God and life. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren where the light in her eyes and she could not spend enough time with them. Once Roberta met you, you were instantly a good friend. She never knew anyone to be a stranger.
Surviving are Three Sons: Danny of Springdale, Arkansas, Larry of Rogers, Arkansas and Gregory of Enid, Ok. Two Brothers and Four Sisters, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren and a host of others relatives and friends.
Proceeding her in death were her husband David, a son Roger and a daughter Terry.
