A Celebration of Life Service for Glen E. Wehrman age 78 of Lahoma will be 2 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Bill Smith and Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lahoma under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Glen was born September 23, 1936 in Lahoma to August and Vera Schlosser Wehrman and passed away at his home, December 2, 2014. Glen was raised in the Lahoma Community where he attended and graduated Lahoma High School in 1954. He later attended Enid Business College receiving his associated degree. Glen went to work for Groendyke Transport as a data processor for 37 years retiring in 1991. He worked as a purchasing agent for Garfield County for 10 years.
Glen enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Grand National Quail Hunt, member of Major County 2 Cylinder Club, Enid Antique Auto Club, and Lahoma Senior Citizens. Glen enjoyed bowling and playing cards, collecting old John Deere Tractors and volunteering for Toy’s for Tot’s. Glen enjoyed celebrating birthdays with the ROOSTER Gang.
Glen married Glynda Curry on August 22, 1991 in Lahoma. He attended Community Bible Church.
Glen is survived by his wife Glynda of the home, two daughters Lisa Goss and husband David of Piedmont, OK, Sallie McCollough and husband Todd of Lahoma, a son Tod Wehrman and wife Rhonda of Baldwin, KS; step children Regina and Roger Sipes of Atoka, OK, 9 grandchildren, Connor, Gunther, Andrew, Griffin, Emily, Jessie, Caleb, Dylan, and McKenzie, 3 great grandchildren, Pistol, Peyton, and Haygen; mother-in-law, Reba Folsom of Enid; OK, father-in-law, Olen and M.A. Curry of Atoka, OK; brother-n-law Doyle Curry of Crescent, and sister-n-law Leetta Unruh of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Toy’s for Tot’s with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
