Loretta Weaver

Loretta Zoe Weaver was born on March 6, 1927 to James and Flossie Mead in Indianapolis, IN and died March 22, 2010 in Enid, OK. She grew up in the Hillsboro, IN area. She married Odie J Fairfield in 1946 having two sons and one daughter. She then married R. Gordon Weaver on October 14, 1955 and had one son. She lived in the Crawfordsville, IN area, moving to Waveland, IN in 1963, where she helped Gordon to manage Weaver’s Marathon. She earned her Beautician license in the late seventies and worked as a beautician in the Crawfordsville area. In 1993 she moved to Upland, CA. In 2004 she moved to Enid, OK to be close to her son, Larry and to spoil her great grandchildren. She has resided at the United Methodist Nursing Home since 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R Gordon Weaver; four brothers and four sisters; and her daughter, Brenda Jean Fairfield.

Survivors include her sons, Odie James Fairfield and wife Julia M of Michigantown, IN, Charles L (Larry) Weaver and wife Linda L of Enid, OK and Gordon E Weaver of Darlington, IN; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

There will be a time of visitation with the family from 2-4 pm, Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Machledt and Services Funeral Home, Waveland, IN. The graveside service will be Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Wolfe Creek Cemetery, Waveland, IN. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
