Doris Walters

A private graveside service for Doris Long Walters, age 83 of Enid, will be held Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Square Cedar Cemetery at Cleo Springs. Bill Reed will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Mrs Walters was born December 22, 1926 to Don E Long and Beulah Keesecker Long, in Enid, OK and she died February 25, 2010 at her farm in Ringwood. She attended Garfield Elementary school, Longfellow Junior High and graduated from Enid High School in 1944, and attended Enid Business College.
She was married to Robert H Walters on June 9, 1948.
Mrs Walters was employed at the District Attorney’s Office for twenty-three years, prior to her retirement in February 1992.
She was a member of the Followers of Christ Church since November, 1945.
She is survived by a son, Mitchel Walters of Ringwood, OK; a daughter, Terri Walters of Ringwood, OK, a daughter, Joanna Walters Bates of Houston, TX; three grandchildren: Chelsea Parady, Marshall Bates and Morgan Bates, and one great-grand daughter, Trinity Parady. She is also survived by her half brother, Danny Long.
Mrs Walters was preceded in death by her parents and by her adoptive parents, Gladys Oakley and Glenn Oakley.
