Mass of Christian burial for Roland Walsh, age 83 will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 10:00 am at the St Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Irwin and Rev Larry Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be in the Billings Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Roland was born November 1, 1928 in Enid, OK to Roland Jack and Susie Schurch Walsh, and died March 29, 2012 in Flat Rock, North Carolina. He graduated from Enid High School in 1946.
He served in the US Army during WW II. He married Mildred Hoffman in Enid, OK at the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a hospital administrator for over 35 years at the Pratt Regional Healing Center, Pratt, KS. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Millie of Mills River, NC; sons, Mike Walsh (Sherry) of Nolensville, TN, Pat Walsh and wife Darlene of Shelbyville, TN, Jack Walsh (Cheri) of Hendersonville, NC; Sister-in-law Mary Lou Walsh of Enid, OK, sister-in-law, Flo Watson of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Chelsea and Jack Jr Walsh and Ryan and Lauren Walsh, and two great grandchildren, Jersey and Ryland Walsh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Walsh.
