Hazel Walker

Hazel M Walker was born September 4, 1928 in Waxahachie, TX and died peacefully September 12, 2012 at Golden Oaks Nursing Home to be with her Lord and Savior.

There will be a time of visitation Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6-7 pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Memorial service will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Bill King will officiate.

Hazel graduated from high school in Ennis, TX and attended Draun Business College in Wichita Falls, TX. She married Dayle Walker on February 25, 1946. They made their home in Frederick, OK where Dayle finished high school and then moved to Vernon, TX. They moved to Enid in 1948 where they raised their family. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker and always kept a lovely home.

In later years she worked in administrative positions for Champion Drilling, Proex Energy and Investor’s Resources Corporation. She enjoyed her work immensely and was very proud of her accomplishments. She was very professional and an absolute joy to all she encountered with her graciousness and quick wit.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Dayle of the home; one brother, Coye Conner, Jr of Tyler, TX; sons, Russell Walker (Julia) of Cape Coral, FL, Carroll Walker (Vickie) of Enid, OK, Ron Walker (Ginger) of Edmond, OK and daughter, Gina Walker (Rachel Palmer) of Norman, OK; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mom is loved immeasurably and will be missed immensely.
