Dorothy Anne Voss
August 19, 1922 - January 19, 2018
Dorothy, the daughter of Luther and Caroline Harris Biggers was born on a farm outside of Whitesboro, Texas. She received her education in the Whitesboro Public Schools, Draughon;s Business College of Denison and North Texas State Teacher's College. While working in a law office, she met and married Verne Lundberg. Dorothy and Verne had twenty years of adventure with their five children: Michael, Richard, Roger, Carla and Kathy. In 1960 Dorothy moved to Oklahoma and though in her heart she remained a "Texas Girl" she loved her new home.
As Dorothy's children entered school, she continued a career that held positions in law, medical and school offices, insurance and tag agencies, child administration, and medical transcription. Beginning at age fourteen, Dorothy held several callings as a church pianist, which led her to her happiest position as the musical director for Enid, Oklahoma's Salvation Army, retiring in 2016 at the age of ninety three after twenty two years of service.
Dorothy had many travel stories and was always ready for another adventure. She was a prolific reader and loved to play and sing The Gospels. She was a good and faithful servant to the Lord every day of her life.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ken and his wife Betty Biggers, husbands Verne Lundberg and Erbie Voss, daughter-in-law Barbara Lundberg and grandson Wil Edson. She is survived by her five children, daughter-in-law Nozomi, sons-in-law Charles Malone and Mark Edson, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and three nieces. Dorothy cherished her family and was proud of each and every one.
As her family continues to celebrate and love this amazing woman, Dorothy has requested no service. Cremation arrangements are by Ladusau Evans and condolences may be left on line at www.ladusauevans.com
