Harley VanBuskirk was born on October 7, 1927 in Ringwood, OK to Lewis VanBuskirk and Ella (Bowles) VanBuskirk. He departed this life on June 28, 2011.
Services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dan O’Daniel will officiate. He will be taken to his final resting place at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Harley served in the Army during WWII. He had many jobs including school bus driver, Gold Spot Dairy, Bond Bakery for over 30 years and then began his farming career. He was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Enid and also attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church in Enid.
Harley married Berneita Bennett on August 1, 1948 in Garber, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Bob; one daughter, Lou Ella and one great granddaughter, Madison Mae.
He is survived by his wife, Berneita of Carrier, OK; sister, Lottie and husband Milton Wells of Lahoma, OK; sister-in-law, Etta Fern VanBuskirk of Lahoma, OK; son, Russell and wife Marilyn VanBuskirk of Enid, OK; daughter, Rosalie and husband Bob Evans of Billings, OK; son, Rodney and wife Leslye VanBuskirk of Enid, OK; seven grandkids; sixteen great grandkids and many other family members.
