Funeral services for George Thomas Tweedy age 49 of Goodman, Missouri will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Edward Tweedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
He was born August 1, 1962 in Portland, Oregon to Kenneth J. and Nancy Crittenden Tweedy and passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Vinita, OK. He lived in Louisiana, Oregon, California, and moved to Goodman, Missouri. He was self-employed where he did yard work and landscaping. He was licensed firefighter.
He is survived by his children: his mother, Nancy Cooper and step-father Robert of Goodman, MO; children, George (Tommy) Tweedy, Jr, Jennifer Ballard both of Enid, Maria Tweedy of Oklahoma City, Nancy Tweedy and Kenneth Tweedy both of Salem, Oregon; grandmother, Mable Crittenden Hendricks of Benton, LA, three brothers, Sidney Tweedy and wife Ellen of Enid, Kenny Tweedy and wife Carol of Seneca, Missouri, Edward Tweedy and wife Christy of Pineville, Missouri, and a sister Marie Taylor and husband Casey of Enid, and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Leatha Tweedy and his best friend, Dale Wilson.
