A Memorial service for Gladys Turner age 97 of Enid will be 4:30 pm. Wednesday May 2, 2012 at the Central Christian Church Chapel with Rev. John McLemore officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday May 7, 2012 in Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Ocala, Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Gladys was born November 11, 1914 in Cookport, PA to Frank and Edna Crawford Henry and passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 in the Greenbrier Nursing Home.
She attended and graduated from high school in Indiana, PA. She worked as a nanny in Florida for many years. She moved to Florida in 1960 and came to Enid in 2010.
Gladys married George Turner 1948 and he passed away in 1970.
She is survived by son Roger Turner of Augusta, GA, grandchildren, Robbie Turner and Mandy Martinez, four great grandchildren, a special niece Beth Henneke and husband Terry of Enid, OK, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Joye Parks and Gwen Ruddock, a brother Ben Henry.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
