Viola “Vi” Mae Toney, age 66, was born July 16, 1948 in Homestead, Ok to Clarence and Iona McFarland Snow and passed away peacefully October 13, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.
She attended Enid Schools graduating in 1966. In 1970, she started her career in the oil business, working for Jim Gungoll and retired in 2014 due to her health. Vi was a member of the Moose Lodge and The Elks Lodge. She attended Enid First Assembly of God Church.
Vi is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Travis Johnson of the home; son, Troy Schaefer of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Chasity McFadden of Enid, Ashlyn Geen and Mason Harmon, both of the home; one great-grandson, Kingston McFadden of Enid; two step-grandchildren, Colton and Hayden Johnson of Enid; one sister-in-law, Sue Ward of Aline; numerous nieces and nephews; step son and wife Mike and Pam Kvasnicka, step grandchildren Sam, Bryce, Tabor, Hannah, and Greydon Kvasnicka, and her very special girlfriends, Vivian Atchinson, Milly Jones, Linda Maupin and Linda Willis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Darrel and Dennis Snow and one sister-in-law, Carol Snow, a step son Kevin Kvasnicka.
Family and friends were Vi’s passion and delight. Her favorite thing was being called “Nana”; her grandbabies were her world. She will be dearly missed by so many. Special thanks for her team of doctors, Dr. Matousek, Dr. Dexeus and his nurses, Dr. Vijay for the exceptional care and love they have given Vi and Kim during this past year. Her inspiration and courage she had during her battle with cancer will be remembered forever.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, October 17, 2014 at Enid First Assembly of God Church, 905 N Oakwood. Pastor Jarrod Cloud and Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Relay for Life or Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home serving custodians of the fund.
