A Celebration of life for Dixie Joan Tindle will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dixie was born November 7, 1932 in Chester, Oklahoma to Jim and Audrey (Copeland) Holub and went to be with the Lord February 18, 2022. She attended Orion Grade School through the eighth grade. The family moved to Booker, Texas in 1947 and graduated from Booker High School in 1950. Dixie moved to Enid later in 1950. She worked for eighteen at Trail Lanes and Oakwood Bowl. She bowled for many years and was inducted into the Enid Bowling Hall of Fame in 1991. On March 31, 1978 she married Dick Tindle. They continued to make their home in Enid, spending time traveling and going to ball games.
Dixie is survived by her children, Diana Baker Lipsett, Keri Baker; step daughter, Andrea Weathors; grandchildren, Bridget Huffman, Kevin Lipsett and Kelli Huddleston, Chad and Lance Baker, Kyle Baker; sister, Barbara Neiden; fourteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick Tindle; and daughter, Connie Baker.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Enid SPCA.
