Dorothy Thorne

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Dorothy Thorne, 85, of Enid, will be Saturday, November 29, 2014, 11:00 AM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Olson officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dorothy was born January 11, 1929 in Hartville, Missouri the daughter of Virgil and Lydia Cline Hanson and passed away November 23, 2014. She was a graduate of Pond Creek High School in 1947. Dorothy was united in marriage to Ralph Leonard Thorne January 26, 1949 and he preceded her in death September 9, 2005. She was a member of the Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church and the Moose Lodge. She loved to dance, sew, and care for her flowers. She will be be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn and her husband, Dr. Bill Simon of Enid, two sons, David Thorne and his wife, Susan of Bristow, Ok. and Daniel Thorne and his wife Peggy of Ardmore, OK., seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren , four sisters, Sharon Wiegand, Virginia Ryan, Bonnie Johnson and Charlotte Saenz.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. Online condolences may be left at www.ladusauevans.com.
