The funeral service for Rosann Thompson, age 78 will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Oakwood Christian Church. Rev Joe Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Rosann was born February 3, 1932 in Enid, OK to John O. and Bessie Rosaleen (Fulkerson) McMahan and died April 14, 2010 in Enid, OK. She graduated from Enid High School in 1950.
She married Robert E Sims on June 22, 1951 in Enid, OK. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1987. She married Robert L Thompson on May 5, 1990 in Enid, OK. She was a member of the Enid High School Alumni that organized the purchase of the Plainsman Statue in front of the high school. She was a member of the Oakwood Christian Church and a member of Zeta Rho for 50 years. She was also in the Shirts & Skirts Square Dance Club.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert of the home; children: Robert Mark Sims of Oklahoma City, OK; Dian McGuar and husband Randy of Perry, OK, Linda Hayes and husband Dave, Gail Wills and husband Bob, both of Enid; stepchildren: Valorie Buss and husband Dennis of Tonkawa, OK, Steve Thompson of Tulsa, OK and Eric Thompson of Anadarko, OK; grandchildren: Rachael Sims Parsons, Sean Sims, Deborah Sims Margerum, Rani McGuar, Kali McGuar Hughey, Cara Durham Harbour, Stacie Durham Dobbins, Tami Durham, Donna Durham, Camey Wills and Skyler Wills; sister-in-law, Betty Gene McMahan; and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents; and brother, John Louis McMahan.
