The memorial service for Dale Roy Thompson, age 63, will be held Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Covington United Methodist Church. Rev Dane Lemmons will officiate. Burial will be in the Covington Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dale was born October 31, 1946 in Enid, OK to Denzil Roy and Evalyn (Ashcraft) Thompson and died in Enid, OK on September 19, 2010.
He married Nancy Powell on September 13, 1977 in Victoria, TX. He served three tours during the Viet Nam War, with the Army Special Forces. He worked as an oilfield chemist and salesman and retired from Baker Hughes. He was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge 80 and was a Shrine Clown.
Survivors include, his wife Nancy, children: Billy Dale, Melody Doyle, Patricia Thompson, Richard Wayne and Melissa Lowery; seven grandchildren, brothers, James and Charles; sister, Derba; adopted mom, Vickie Parker; mother, Evalyn Thompson; many nieces and nephews; adopted brothers, Frank Smith, Ron Brown, Larry Don Brown, Randy Brown and Tim Parker.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and adopted dad, Larry Parker.
