Alfred Taylor Iii

The funeral service for Alfred W Taylor, III will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:

00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Jeff Jackson will

officiate. Burial will be in the Lamont Cemetery. Arrangements are under the

direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Alfred was born May 2, 1939 in Port Noris, NJ to Alfred W and Nancy Edwards Taylor,

II and passed away on February 14, 2011 at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He

joined the Air Force when he was 17. He met and married his wife of 53 years while

stationed at Vance Air Force Base. He served 12 ½ years in the Air Force and was

stationed in Oklahoma, Texas, North Carolina, Ohio and Okinawa during the Viet

Nam War. After leaving the Air Force, he moved to NJ and worked as a jet engine

mechanic for Airworks Crop for 10 years, had his own trucking company for 9 years

and retired from Downe Township Road Dept after 11 years. After 35 years in NJ,

he moved to OK in 2002 to care for his mother-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Jolene Potter Taylor, 4 children: Robert Dean Taylor and

Cindy of Shourd, OK, Katherine Pokorny and Steve of Millville, NJ, William Joe Taylor

and Linda of Millville, NJ and Alfred Wade Taylor and Diane of Enid, OK; nine

grandchildren: Brandy of Clearwater, FL, Heaven, Stephanie, Melanie, Billy, and

Emily of Millville, NJ and CPL Alfred Taylor of Fort Stewart, GA, Tara Clover and

James of Pond Creek, OK and Robert Taylor of Enid, OK; great grandchildren: Kira

Taylor of Enid, OK, Damon Clover and James Wilkens of Pond Creek, OK; brother,

Wayne Taylor of Dividing Creek, NJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Nancy; two brothers, Harry and

George and sister, Lois all NJ.
