Elizabeth Tappan

A Celebration of Life service for Elizabeth “Marlene” Tappan age 84 of Enid will be at 10:00 am Monday, May 7, 2018 at Emmanuel Church Chapel with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Marlene was born March 19, 1934 in Enid to Fred and May Cutter Skouby and passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Brookdale Assisted Living. Marlene Skouby married Phil Tappan on March 24, 1951 in Enid and he passed away February 28, 2018. She was a member of Emmanuel Church, Sojourner Class, Sunday school teacher, studying God’s word and calling on the shut in’s. They loved traveling, camping, fishing, and being with the grandkids.

Marlene is survived by her daughters, Karen and Richard Dodds and Teresa and Dennis Morse, grandchildren, Melanie, Amie, Derek, Diedra, and Christopher, six great grandchildren, sister Mary and husband Ted Spreiter, brother in law Dewey and wife Wanda Tappan, sister in law Frances Tappan, several other family members, and her forever friend Helen Sherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Paul Tappan.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Church or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
