A Celebration of Life Service for Inez Suderman of Enid, OK will be 11:00 am Saturday September 4, 2021 in the Bible Mennonite Brethren Church, Cordell, OK, with Rev. Kevin Creed officiating. Burial will follow in the Bible Mennonite Brethren Church Cemetery, Bessie, OK under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home of Enid, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Inez (Javorsky) Suderman, 83, died on August 30, 2021, in Enid, Okla. Inez was born to Adolph and Lea (Wedel) Javorsky on July 10, 1938, in Bessie, OK - the oldest of three children. She graduated from Corn Bible Academy in 1956. Inez then attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS, and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. Inez prayed to accept Jesus as her Savior, was later baptized and was always an active member of the churches she attended over the years.
She married Emery L. Suderman in Bessie, OK, on July 29, 1960. To this union were added three children - James, Carol, and Tim. After Emery’s last year of medical school in Kansas City, MO and then a year-long internship in Grand Junction, CO, the couple moved to Pharr, TX to open the Suderman Clinic with Emery’s cousin, Dr. Joe Suderman. Inez had a great love of music and she enjoyed singing solos and with the choir at church, playing the piano and organ, and even the accordion. Inez acquired a real estate license in 1978 and was a realtor in the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, TX area for many years.
In addition to all her children’s activities, Inez was a tireless volunteer for various organizations including the McAllen Garden Club, Greater McAllen Association of Realtors, Auxiliary for the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association to name just a few. She was named McAllen Woman of the Year and was even appointed to the Agricultural Resources Protection Authority by then Texas Governor, Bill Clements.
Upon Emery's retirement, the couple lived in Silverthorne, CO (2003-05), Cordell, OK (2005-14) and then Enid, OK (2014 - present). They enjoyed trips with the entire family during the holiday seasons to Branson, MO, Galveston, TX, and Santa Fe, NM. Emery and Inez also took a Gaither Homecoming Alaska Cruise and a trip to Banff, Canada.
Emery passed away on September 22, 2017. Inez is also preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Lea; younger brother, Kenneth and sister-in-law, Carolyn Javorsky; and younger sister, Iris Sue; Emery’s brothers Jean (Lois) Suderman, Vern Suderman and Leland Suderman; and best friends, Howard and JoAnn Just with Mexican Mission Ministries in Pharr, TX.
Inez is survived by her brother-in-law Ed McNeil of Silverthorne, CO. Three children - James (Linda) Suderman of Meno, OK; Carol (Rick) Garrison of Elk City, OK; and Timothy Suderman of Meno, OK; Eight Grandchildren - Emily (Ray) Winkeljohn of Oklahoma City, OK; Kevin Suderman of Oklahoma City, OK; Joshua Green of Weatherford, OK; Hannah (Roy) Goodspeed of Yukon, OK; Ben (Katrina) Sawatzky of Weatherford, OK; Gunner Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK; and Zachary and Emery Suderman both of Manhattan, KS; Three great-grandchildren -Nixon Goodspeed of Piedmont, OK, Feya Sawatzky of Weatherford, OK and Joan Winkeljohn of Oklahoma City. Inez is also survived by sister-in-law Marilyn Suderman, of Dallas, OR; sister-in-law, Elsie Suderman (Alvin) Wiens of Mountain Lake, MN and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Inez also loved her Pekingese fur babies over the years - dogs Muffin, Angel, Angelita and Tasa.
The family would like to thank Drs. Mareburger, Shaw, Shearer, and Nabi and the nurses and staff at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, the staff at Golden Oaks East Wing Nursing Center, and the staff of Hospice Circle of Love in Enid.
