R.T. Stratton

A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. R.T. Stratton will be held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00 am. Father Kevin Ratterman will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held Sunday, at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
R. T. was born in Clarita, OK on March 8, 1924 to Rose and Tolley Stratton and passed away March 13, 2011.
He served in the United States Navy as a machinist’s mate on a LST in the Southwest Pacific Theater from 1942 until the war’s end. On August 26, 1946 he married Peggy Mitchell at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Following his wartime service he was employed at Union Equity for 19 years before he started building homes in 1957. He continued in this profession for over 35 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Charlotte and her husband, Colonel (ret) Michael Nowak of Bellbrook, OH; one son, Brett and his wife Ebby Stratton of Enid; and two grandchildren, Jacques Rondeau of Dallas, TX and Kaley Stratton of Enid.
R.T. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Stratton, his sisters, Pauline and Chlorine and brother, Lloyd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.ladusauevans.com
