Leora Strait

Funeral Services for Leora M. Strait, 77, of Garber will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Dan O’Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in the New Home Cemetery, Nash, Oklahoma under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Leora was born June 27, 1934 in Nash, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roy and Arlie Felix Milligan and died January 7, 2012 in Enid. She was united in marriage to Francis Strait on January 16, 1954 in the Nash Christian Church. He preceded her in death May 7, 1992. She was employed as a cook in the Garber School system until her retirement. Mrs. Strait was also a wheat farmer in the Nash area for many years. Leora attended the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include three sons, Stanley and wife Carla of Ponca City, Richard and wife Lea Ann of Enid, Jim and wife Mary of Enid; five grandchildren, Jill, Keri and husband Cliff, Jonathan, Katie, and Kevin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Rita Parks.

Memorials may be made to Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church or Circle of Love Hospice.
