Ora Stoabs

The funeral service for Ora “Dewayne” Stoabs, age 88 will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Hawley Baptist Church. Rev Gary Lillie will officiate. Burial will be in the Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dewayne was born April 15, 1923 in Byron, OK to Ora and Loretta Clark Stoabs and died August 8, 2011 in Enid, OK. He was raised in Jet and the Byron community and attended school in Jet.
He served in the US Army Air Corps from 1945-1947. On August 1, 1942 he married Glenda Fern Biby in Enid, OK. She passed away October 19, 2000.
He farmed and worked at Long Bell Lumber Co and worked in the Oil Field. He moved to Colorado in 1962 and then moved back, May 1973 to Enid, where he was a carpenter for several years.
Survivors include, his two daughters, Glendora Pierce of Lathrop, MO and Gaytha Ioerger and Walter of Jet, OK; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Glenda.
