Graveside services for Jack A. Stewart, 79, of Ely, Iowa, for will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, September 4th at the Glenwood Cemetery in Ringwood, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jack was born August 2, 1935 in Loyal, OK; son of Harold and Sarah (Sheridan) Stewart died Friday, August 29. 2014 in Iowa City, IA. He graduated with a BS from Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK, in 1957, and days later took a job at Boeing where he remained for a 38 year career. He worked for five years in the Wichita plant until transferring to Seattle for a short time, and then transferring to the Boeing Vertol helicopter plant in Philadelphia, PA, where he and his wife, Twila remained until moving to Ely, Iowa nine years ago. They were married July 12, 1958, in Ringwood.
Jack’s family includes his wife, Twila; children, Paul Stewart (Marian) of Weed, CA and Debbie Ford (Rob) of West Chester, PA; three grandchildren, Robert, Ryan and Rebecca Ford; three brothers, Owen “Pete” (Darla) of Dimmitt, TX, Bill (Noreen) of Oakview, CA and Kenneth (Pat) of Wichita, KS as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joyce Ables and Vera Marlatt and two brothers, Roy and Ike Stewart.
