Virgil Stephens Jr

A Service celebrating the life of Virgil Stephens Jr., 89, of Lahoma, will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Golden Oaks Nursing Home Chapel. Pastor Terry Jewell of the United Chuch of Lahoma will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Vernon Lee will officiate at the graveside. Services are under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born May 4, 1926 the son of Virgil and Ruth Stephens Sr. and passed away April 14, 2016.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Suhina on October 26, 1954 He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, three sons, James Stephens of Lahoma, Virgil Stephens III and his wife Debora of Georgetown, DE and Robert Stephens and his wife Sherea of Missouri, a daughter, Catherine Burby and her husband John of Waukomis, OK, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Flora Carter.
