Funeral services for Lee Ray Steele age 71 of Enid will be 10 am Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Brother Keith Greenfield and Brother Marvin Castor officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Lee was born December 26, 1942 in Enid to Gilbert and Minnie Richey Steele and passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital. He grew up in Kremlin and graduated in 1960. He married Marian Hale on January 16, 1962, and she passed away August 14, 1975.
Lee worked for Union Equity as an Elevator Supt. at Elevator B retiring in 1992 after 27 years. He married Beverly Castor on November 8, 1975 in Kremlin.
Lee was a member of Kremlin Lions Club Summer League Ball Program, where he worked in all areas of the program. He was part of the chain gang for Kremlin Broncs Football games. He helped with the scoreboard at the Kremlin Broncs Basketball games, and coached Little League Summer Baseball and Basketball.
Lee attended The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
He is survived by his wife Beverly of the home, children Dana Greenfield and husband Keith, Aaron Steele and wife Amber, Jeremy Steele and wife Sondra, and Stacy Parks and husband Kevin, 12 grandchildren, brother Edward Richey of Kremlin, sister Ida Hamm of OKC, and sister-in-law Dora Steele of Kremlin.
He was preceded in death by parents, brothers Milton and Glenn Steele.
