John Stains

The graveside service for John E Stains, age 87 will be held Thursday, February
17, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Galen Coffin will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
John was born June 20, 1923 in Watonga, OK to A. E. and Bonita Hunt Stains and
died February 14, 2011 in Enid, OK. He was raised in Enid and graduated from
Enid High School.
He served in the U S Navy as seaman 1st Class during WW II. He married Hilda C
Broschak on December 25, 1942 in Enid and she passed away March 10, 2008.
He worked for the US Postal Service, retiring after 40 years, delivering mail. He
was a carpenter and enjoyed wood working and going to Taos, NM.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Collier and husband, Ferris of Kimberling
City, MO and Debra Johnson and husband Tim of Enid, OK; three grandchildren,
Terri Collier, Travis Johnson and Johna Johnson; and four great grandchildren,
Hayden, Colton, Cory and Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Barbara, Earlene and JoAnn.
