The graveside service for Charles E. Lee, age 84, will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Jim Edmison will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Charles was born November 7, 1926 in Hennessey, OK to Edmond Charles and Roxy Smallwood Lee and died April 20, 2011 in Lee’s Summit, MO.
He served in the US Army during WW II and the Korean Conflict, earning rank of S/Sgt. On June 25, 1950 he married Martha Louise Richard in Waukomis, OK. Charles earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering and master’s degree in Economics from Oklahoma State University. He was Vice President/Economist at the Northern Trust Co. in Chicago, IL for 17 years. He was a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, National Association of Business Economists – President of Chicago Chapter and Trustee of Illinois Economists Association of DePaul University.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of home, his son, Charles E. Lee, Jr and wife Lois of St Louis, MO; daughter, Cheryl A. Raven of Columbia, MO; granddaughter, Christine Kintner and husband Dallas of Columbia, MO and nephew, Danny Streck of Enid, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Kenneth Lee, Ollie Lee and sisters, Aileen Lamb, Evelyn Smith, Doris Slone, Mildred Avery and Gladys Streck.
