A Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Doloris Solorio, age 73, of Enid, is 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Tommy Donaldson will officiate. Burial will follow in Douglas Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Doloris passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 in Enid.
Doloris was born April 1, 1942 in Douglas, Oklahoma to John Decker and Mamie (Stevinson) Decker. She was raised in the Douglas area and attended Covington Schools. After graduation she attended college at Phillips University and in Lubbock, Texas. She enjoyed working with children and volunteered her time by reading to the kids at Adams Elementary School. She enjoyed her friends at Meadowpoint, and she will be missed by them all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Colleen Mueggenborg and one brother, Dewayne Decker.
Doloris is survived by one daughter, Dee Ann Steed and husband Joseph, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Troy Decker of Enid; Fred Decker and wife Pat, of Covington; brother Wayne Decker and wife Diane, of San Diego, California; two sisters, Wanda Morgan, of Enid, and Gwen Close, of Meno, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Shannon Ehrcke, and one great-grandson, Ryley Ehrcke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medic al Research Foundation Heart or Cancer divisions with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
