A Celebration of Life for Tim Dwane Smith, age 60 years, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Enid, will be 10 am, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ted Kuschel will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Tim was born January 26, 1956 in Denver Colorado to Marion L. Smith and Dorothy (Wahl) Smith and passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He attended school in Denver, Colorado graduating with the class of 1974. Following high school he enlisted into the United States Army, serving his country as a radar technician for three years. After being discharged from the Army, he moved back to Enid and worked for Cummins Constructions for ten years. He then worked for Windsor Concrete, Inc. in Colorado Springs as a concrete finisher up until his health required he take early retirement. His favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodcarving, and was also a great carpenter. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Tim was always kind, generous, and a friend to everyone. Tim loved animals and took great pride in his salt-water aquarium and his beloved dog, Bandit.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion L. Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Smith, of Enid; sister, Shirley George and husband Eldon, of Enid; brother, Jerry Smith of Colorado Springs; brother Don Smith and wife Lea Anne, of Enid; brother David Smith and wife Mistie, of Enid; six nephews, and one great-nephew.
Memorials in Tim’s name may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
