John Sisk

A Celebration of Life Service for John R. Sisk age 87 of Enid will be 10 am Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Lesley Busbee officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
John was born January 20, 1927 in Anaheim, CA to Jess and Florence Lokey Sisk and passed away Thursday July 17, 2014 in the Enid Senior Care Center. He grew up in Mississippi with his Aunt Effie. John entered the US Army on April 23, 1945 and was honorably discharged on January 2, 1947. On June 20, 1946 he married Florence L. Chrisman at the Vance Chapel and she passed away February 21, 1998. He worked for Peerless Ice Cream. John went to work for L.B. Price Mercantile until 1991. He married Anna Swan on May 30, 1999 and she passed away in August 2004. In 1991, he formed John R. Sisk Co of home sales and collection until January 3, 2014 when ill health force him to quit.
He was an active member of the Church of God most of his adult life. John delivered meals for Wheatheart Nutrition for 20 years. He was active in RSVP.
John is survived by his daughter Carol Siebert and husband Karl of Enid, son John Sisk and wife Anna of Coyle, OK, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and half-brother Clifton Parham of Marked Tree, AR.
He was preceded in death by his two sons Richard L. and Everett E. Sisk, daughter Cecilia Sisk, and his mother Florence Parham.
