A Celebration of Life Service for Anna M. Siders age 93 of Enid will be 10 am Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Garriott Road Church of Christ with Ray Rose and Don Siders officiating. Burial will be 3:00 pm in Resthaven Cemetery, OKC under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Anna was born December 4, 1921 in Busby, TX to Newton and Annie Martin Carlton and passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 in the Greenbrier Nursing Home. She graduated from high school in Levelland, TX in 1935. She graduated from Stewart Beauty College in Topeka, Kansas, September 26, 1944. She married Marvin Siders on June 6, 1942 in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
During the WWII, she worked in an ammunition factory making bombs. Marvin stayed in the Army where they traveled all over the world. Marvin passed away in 1989. Anna was a beautician. She moved to San Antonio, TX later moving to Enid in 2003. She was a member of Garriott Road Church of Christ. She also taught Ladies Bible Class and took a mission trip to Russia.
Survivors include two sons; Don and Cheryl Siders of Enid, and Dru and Christina Siders of OKC, daughter, Narda Woods and Joe of Alamogordo, NM, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great great-grandson and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Sherwin Dale, and two sisters Geraldine Jones, Alline Carter and a grandson, Kevin Woods.
Memorial may be made to Garriott Road Church of Christ with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
