The funeral service for Novice Esther Schultz, age 98 of Enid, will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev John McLemore will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Novice was born in Elk City, OK on October 17, 1911 to Richard and Esther (Seeds) Wilmoth. She passed away July 29, 2010 at Highland Park Manor in Enid, OK. Novice graduated from High School in Elk City, in 1929.
She married Floyd Schultz December 23, 1930. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary just before Floyd passed away, January 6, 1998. She was an L.P.N. graduating with the first class of Licensed Practical Nurses at St Mary’s Hospital, April 13, 1954. Novice did private duty nursing for many years at St Mary’s. She retired from Bass Hospital. She was a member of Central Christian Church and the Sooner Sunday School Class. She was a member of Chapter 36 Order of Eastern Star for 50 years. Having a love of music, she was the organist for her Chapter for many years.
Novice is survived by one son, Robert and his wife Ann Schultz of Tulsa; one daughter, Betty and husband Jerry Kreplin of Enid; six grandchildren, David Schultz, Dr John Schultz and wife Lori of Tulsa, OK, Kristen and Eric Johnson of Houston, TX, Gretchen and Mike Fugett of Copan, OK, Kurt and Sherri Kreplin of Effingham, IL and Kevin and wife Cheryl Kreplin of Dallas, TX; ten great grandchildren, Thomas and Andrew Fugett, Kristen, Jacob and Emily Schultz, David Johnson, Katy and husband Justin Siekes, Kelly, Mackenzie and Caroline Kreplin and one great great granddaughter, Marly Seikes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, and infant son, granddaughter, Heidi; her sister and four brothers.
