Celebration of Life for Ruby Delilah Schuber, age 94, of Enid, will be Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev Steve Williams, officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ruby was welcomed home by her Savior, Jesus Christ on the afternoon of January 4, 2017 at the age of 94 years and 11 months. She was born February 12th, 1922 in Lahoma Oklahoma, to Jacob and Pauline Lorenz Wasemiller. She received the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 15 and was baptized and joined the Mennonite Brethren Church of Enid. Ruby attended Lahoma schools.
On July 28, 1946, she married the love of her life, Emart J. Schuber at the home of Reverend P.C. Grunau in Enid. They made their home on a farm 4 miles North and 3 miles West of Loyal. There she joined the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Being a faithful and active member, she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir.
In the early 1980’s Emart and Ruby retired and moved to Enid, joining the Calvary Baptist Church, where Emart was a deacon and Ruby was a member of the Ester class.
Ruby loved making ceramic items as a hobby and crocheting gifts for other. But most of all, she enjoyed being a loving housewife.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Emart; 5 brothers and 1 sister, Clarence, Ed, Fabe, Floyd, her twin Rueben, and Clara her sister.
Survivors are 2 loving nephews, Jerry Wasemiller of Bartlesville and Neal Wasemiller of Edmond, and one loving great nephew Brad Chesson of Tacoma, Washington.
She will be remembered as a giving individual with a servant’s heart. As a true disciple of the Lord, her service to others was evident in all she did.
She loved her Lord God with all of her heart, soul and mind.
