Willa Jean Schneider (Ake ) 78, of Enid died July 2, 2012 at Greenbrier Nursing Home. Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Willa was born November 21, 1933 in Enid, Ok. The daughter of E.B. Sr. and Pearl (Chatt ) Mitchell. She was the youngest of five children.
Willa married Henry O. Schneider Jr. on June 4, 1955. They spent their early years of marriage traveling with the military and eventually resided back in Enid. Willa was a teacher and later a principal in the Enid area. After retiring from the school systems, they opened a gift shop in Enid. After the closing of the store Willa was still very involved in the community.
Willa is survived by two sons: Stephen Schneider of Tulsa and Justin Schneider of Enid. She also has four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund. Condolences may be made at ladusauevans@suddenlink mail.com
