Mary Lou Schaefbauer was born March 6, 1937 and passed away April 21, 2016. She was called home to join her Husband in heaven. So many beautiful memories of her being there for all of us when we needed her the most. She was always there to lean on and seek comfort while she took charge and helped make our problems go away. With her life of caring and giving, she always made you feel welcome and loved. Mary Lou's incredible ability to prepare a delicious meal for family and guests at a moment’s notice was amazing to us all. She was MOM to more than just her own five children. She cared for many and expected nothing in return, and we all loved and admired her strength and devotion. Those closest to mom knew of her unbridled wit, and you never really knew when you were going to be shocked at one of her remarks or jokes that would have you rolling.........and no one was exempt! She taught us all by example what it is to be selfless and strong in the most trying of times, and what love and commitment to her faith, family, and friends looks and feels like. Her unlimited energy and creativity brought forth hundreds of fine crocheted treasures, especially her spare toilet paper roll covers that have adorned our homes for years. The true meaning of Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter were experienced in our home, and mom filled our hearts with joy to celebrate the holidays she made so special for us all. The smell of her caramel cinnamon rolls was intoxicating. You were sure to gain ten pounds during a holiday visit from eating all the cinnamon rolls, happy bread, fudge, cookies, pies, and Chex mix. Her cooking was over the top and she loved baking with her Grandchildren. How she could pack up enough provisions to take the old Jimmy loaded with seven people and a dog to the Big Horns for a week of camping and fishing was just another one of her skills that we look back on wondering how she could have ever accomplished so much with so little. We are all saddened with mom passing and are being comforted by knowing that she’s now in the arms of the Lord with the angels rejoicing to see her reunited for eternity with Dad, Mary, Mike and David, along with all of her family that was called home before her. I'm sure Mom and Dad have already danced to their favorite waltz. Hang on Heaven! You're in for some fun and calories! Don't say we didn't warn you J Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband Martin, children Mary and Mike, parents Joseph and Regina Schneider. She is survived by her children Martin and wife Joan, Maria, Matt, Mark and wife Tina, Grandchildren, Jennifer, Alyssa, Amanda, Stephen, Robert and Devon, Great Grandchildren Brooklynn and Kayleigh, and her siblings Tony, Agnes, Jim, Linda, and Kay.
