Funeral services for Myrtle A Sanders, 89, will be Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Dr Edwin House will officiate. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Myrtle was born August 23, 1922 to Oliver Eslick and Lillie Fowler, and passed away, Monday, March 12, 2012.
At age 16 she was married to Wallace Goodman Sanders and together they had four children.
In 1955 she began working at the Enid State School, where she worked for 19 years and retired in 1985. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and cooking for her children and grandchildren. A lifelong Christian, she enjoyed reading her Bible and praying.
Surviving family includes two sons, Monroe Sanders and Henry Sanders; daughter, Lorene Foos; brothers, Golman Eslick and Clark Eslick; sisters, Francis Jones and Faye Burright; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Richard Sanders, five brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
