The graveside service for Carolyn Ruth Street Sander, age 65 will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:00 am the Waukomis Cemetery. Rev Dewey Street will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Carolyn was born January 9, 1946 in Oklahoma to Leroy and Ruth Street and died May 24, 2011 in Enid. She attended school in Cherokee and Waukomis, OK.
On October 7, 1962 she married Lynn Semrad in Waukomis, OK. To this marriage were born two children, Cynthia and Chris. Carol later married Thomas Sander in Palestine, TX on December 24, 1982. Carol was the owner of World Discount Travel. She worked as a travel agent for many years in Oklahoma City.
After retiring to Enid, OK in 2000, Carol enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, spending time with her family, her dogs, Maggie and Max and watching her grandsons play for the Hennessey Eagles. Carol most recently loved watching the OKC Thunder and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her second great grandchild, Tae Lynn.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Sander, daughter, Cynthia Eckholm and her children, Casey and Cally; son, Chris Semrad and wife Teresa; their children, Dakota and Seth; father, Leroy Street and sister, Cheryl Street; and great grandson, Noah.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Street and husband, Lynn Semrad.
