Graveside services for George J. Salles, 90, of Edmond and formerly of Enid, will be Friday, August 2, 2013, 2:00 PM at The Enid Cemetery with Chaplain O. Duane Snavely officiating.
He was born March 14, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK the son of Pete J and Edith M Lyles Salles and died July 30, 2013 at his residence in Edmond. He was a graduate of Enid High School in 1940. George was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WW II. He was united in marriage to Waunda Stephan Feb. 2, 1951 in Enid.
He was employed in aircraft maintenance for many years last working for the FAA retiring in 1981.
Survivors include his wife Waunda of the home, a son George J. Salles Jr. and his wife Tammy of Colorado Springs, CO, a daughter, Patricia Casey of Edmond and two grandsons, Chad and Josh Salles of Colorado Springs, CO.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy Hospice of Oklahoma City, OK with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund. Online condolences may be left at ladusauevans.com.
