Ruth Ann (Boese) Moehle, one of the Shepherd's most faithful sheep, has passed away on October 26, 2024. Born on September 1, 1933 to William and Amy (Penner) Boese in Goltry, Oklahoma. She was devout in her faith and knew that God was the reason. Her light for us won't compare to the brightness of her light in the presence of the Lord, for "the Lord is my shepherd...and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever" (Psalm 23).
Ruth Ann served her community faithfully as a Southwestern Bell telephone operator for 30 years, after graduating from Carrier High School in 1951. During her time as an operator, she also cared for a home with her husband, William "Bill" Moehle (married January 22, 1954) and her son Mark Moehle. In addition, she helped on the farm that continues to be part of the Moehle family, by hauling wheat during the many harvests and traveling with Bill to various sheep shows. Which only strengthened her network of friends. Her favorite moments were those spent with her family, and later with her expanded family during holidays and family gatherings. She loved hosting gatherings and having friends visit, especially if the weather was fine and basketball was involved. Those 4 years of playing the sport created a deep rooted love. She found immense pleasure in sharing time with those she found dear, and was always pleasant with visitors, even at the worst of times. She continued to participate in the Pioneer Telephone Women group and the Garfield County Republican Women's Club until shortly before her death.
Ruth Ann is survived by her son Mark and his wife Brenda Moehle, their children and spouses, Amy and Caleb Messerly, and Joshua and Sara Moehle. As well as her great-grandchildren, Emma and Covel Messerly, and Henry Moehle; additionally, her sister Virginia English and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Moehle. As well as several nieces and nephews and many many dear friends. She was preceded into death by her husband, Bill, her father and mother, William and Amy Boese, and her sister DeLores Gigoux.
Her beacon served the great Shepherd for 91 years, we pray it continues to reflect the light of Christ in the hearts and memories of those she touched. Please send memorials to Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma, Oklahoma.
