Graveside services for Helen Marie Roush, 89, of Enid will be Wednesday, September 25, 2013, 10:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with Mr. Marvin D. Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 7 PM.
Helen was born October 13, 1923 in Nash, OK, the twelfth child of thirteen to Philip and Ellen Clover. She graduated from Gore High School. She met and fell in love with Francis Roush while both were working on a farm in Grant County and on September 23, 1943 they were married in Medford, OK. They moved to Enid soon after to make their home and raise their two daughters. She loved caring for her family, her Chihuahua’s, crocheting and working puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Lydia Kiefer and her husband Jerald of Garland, TX, Cindy Stephens and husband Wayne of Blackwell, OK, four grandchildren, Kurt Kiefer and wife Brenda of Garland, TX, Kelly McCormac and husband Rodney of Garland, TX, Karla Culver and husband Tom of Rowlett, TX and Christi Stephens of Blackwell, OK, and six great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her siblings, Orville, Banna, Myrtle, Tula, Philip, Willard, Joyce, Madge, Howard, Anna, Homer and Mona.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Alzheimer-Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
