A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Jo Ann Ross, 89, formerly of Covington, will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 1:00 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating. Interment will follow in the Covington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Ladusau-Evans from 12 Noon until service time.
Jo Ann was born March 10, 1925 in Enid the daughter of James and Alice Potter and passed away February 6, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. She attended Marshall grade and high school and graduated in 1943. She was united in marriage to Cecil R. Ross October 3, 1944 in Enid and he preceded her in death July 17, 2010. She was employed by Southwestern Bell from 1943 to 1944 and after her marriage they resided in Greensboro, NC. They later moved, living in Roxana, Douglas and then in Covington. She was then employed by the Covington Livestock Sale Company for about 12 years until her retirement in1985.Jo Ann was an avid gardener and enjoyed doing needlework. She will be remembered as a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.
Survivors include, one daughter, Dee Ann Davis and her husband Dwayne of Broken Arrow, two sons, James R. Ross and his wife Diana of Sand Springs, David Ross and his wife Linda of Broken Arrow, OK, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ross Hospice or Bethlehem Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home custodian of the fund. Online condolences may be left at www.ladusauevans.com and the service can be viewed on the website also.
