Wallace Roggow

September 9, 1927 — February 18, 2017

A Funeral Service for Wallace H. Roggow age 89 of Breckinridge will be 10:00 am Friday, February 24, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge with Rev. Travis Orr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Wallace was born September 9, 1927 on the family farm near Breckinridge to Reinhard C. and Ella Schossow Roggow and passed away Saturday February 18, 2017. He was the 8th of 11 children. His Baptism was October 2, 1927 and Confirmation was on May 3, 1942 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Wallace grew up in the Breckinridge Community where he helped with the family farming. He served in the U. S. Army from February 26, 1946 to May 6, 1947 in the 209th Antiaircraft Battalion, Yokohama, Japan as a TEC 5.

Wallace married Ladova Ragoss on September 14, 1952 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Wallace was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where held various church offices. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Lutheran Layman’s League, Thrivent, and received a Soil and Water Conservation Certificate. He was a farmer, rancher, and really enjoyed working with his cattle.

He is survived by his wife Ladova of the home, their children; Brent Roggow and his wife Suzet of Oklahoma City, Kila and husband Thomas Strohl of Huntsville, AL, Kendall Roggow and wife Kabeth of Ponca City, and Monte Roggow and wife Marie of Fairmont, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; siblings Victor Roggow of Breckinridge and Bernice McCanless of Enid, and Rev. Gerald Roggow and wife Judy of Breckinridge and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Bertha Loesch, Della Palmer, Hilda Roggow and Minnie Wilgus, three brothers Herman, Bernhard, and Erwin Roggow, a grandson Kenton Roggow,

Memorials may be made to Reinhard and Ella Roggow Endowment Fund Concordia or Camp Lutherhoma with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
