A Celebration of Life for Matthew Paul Rider, age 38, of Enid, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, is 11:00 am, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Fletcher officiating. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home & Crematory.
Matt was born March 22, 1984 in Westerville, Ohio, to Paul and Paula (McKeegan) Rider, and passed away suddenly on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Matt was the funniest, most loving guy we all knew, he loved fishing with his family and friends. He spent many hours playing video games with his dad and his son. Matt loved NASCAR, watching races on tv and attending races with his father. Matt enjoyed collecting firearms and going shooting with Kevin, AKA Cupcake. He loved wrestling with his kids, nieces, nephews and Cupcake. He enjoyed playing and sledding in the snow with his children and family. He loved to relax with a Corona and a shot of Patron, actually many. He enjoyed tearing up the dance floor, or at least trying at weddings, birthdays and parties. He was a loyal fan of The, Ohio State University Buckeyes. He was a family man who deeply enjoyed all things with his family, and extended family. He was loved by anyone that knew him and will be deeply missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Matt is survived by his parents, Paul Rider of Columbus, OH; Paula (McKeegan) Fife and husband Thomas, of Columbus, OH; life partner, Shalene Coulter of Enid, OK; two children, daughter Rayelynn Rider and son Braden Coulter, of Enid; brother Mark Rider of Columbus, OH; sister Dawn Welch and husband Chris, of Columbus OH; sister Rochelle Rider of Columbus, OH; sister Tracie Rider of St. Petersburg Fl; father-in-law, Rob Coulter of Enid, OK; mother-in-law, Cathy Cail of Enid, OK; brother-in-law, Kevin Coulter (Cupcake); sister-in-law, Katelyn Coulter of Enid, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Matt is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carl Eugene Rider, maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Jane Van Meter; maternal grandfather, Paul McKeegan and Uncle Charlie.
