A Celebration of Life Service for Gene Rickabaugh age 84, of Enid will be 10:00 am Monday, April 2, 2018 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Gene was born April 17, 1933 in Anthony, KS to John and Marie Robinson Rickabaugh and passed away March25, 2018 in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Kremlin High School in 1951. Gene went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from Phillips University and a Master’s Degree from OSU in Trade and Industrial Education.
Gene married Shirley Ann Bradley, August 22, 1953, in Enid and she passed away January 15, 2018 after 64 loving years. Gene taught and coached at Drummond Public Schools, Billings Schools, and completed his many years as an Educator and A Bus Driver, with the Enid Public School System, having retired in 2016.
Gene is survived by two daughters; Pam Buckminster and husband Mitch and Kim Read and husband Mark, four grandchildren; Seth, Bryce, Tyler, and Abby, six great grandchildren; Madison, Hudson, Ivy, Wilder, Cooper, and Vance, a sister Dorothy Alman and several nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother Jack Rickabaugh.
The family has asked that memorials may be made to OMRF-Cancer Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
