Ralph Jr. was born to Ralph Reid Sr and Betty on August 9, 1944 in Durant, OK
and died Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
Ralph began an oilfield weed control company with his father in the early 60’s and
continued this business through the 2000’s. His entrepreneurial spirit followed
him throughout his life through many ventures. Ralph was an avid dog lover,
specifically of VERY large dogs. Ralph was also like a father and mentor to many
young men around the community, always seeing the best in everyone he met. He
spent much of the latter part of his life developing a dream that began with a large
abandoned bread bakery that he turned into amazing living spaces.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Janice; daughter Tammy Reid from of
Oklahoma City; Son Bo Reid and his wife Teresa, Daughter Amber Drennen and
husband Jimi of Norman and Son Clint Shankle and wife Jaci, of Norman; and 2
grandsons, Logan and Austin, and 5 granddaughters, Alexis, Tiara, Mackenzie,
Kaci-Jo, and Kaydence, with one more granddaughter on the way. Also survived by
his parents Ralph Reid Sr. and Betty, of Pampa, Sister Ginger Duncan and
husband Joe, of Pampa, and Brother Vincent Reid and Jo Carroll Reid, mother of
Tammy and Bo Reid, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be made to the MDA, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving
as custodian of the funds.
Sweet Dreams Ralph, We love you.
