Doug Rapp

February 2, 1931 — February 6, 2011

The funeral for Doug Rapp, 80, of Waukomis will be held Saturday, February 12,

2011 at 2:00 pm at the Waukomis Christian Church. Rev Dave Jones will officiate.

Burial will be in the Waukomis Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with the

family at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-7 pm. Arrangements are under the

direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Doug was born February 2, 1931 to Earnest and Dessie Rapp in Enid, OK and died

Febraury 6, 2011 at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Doug grew up in Waukomis. After graduating from Waukomis High School, he

joined the Navy where he served for four years. He graduated from Enid Business

College and was employed by Farmland Fee Mill for 31 years. He also served as a

volunteer fireman for the Waukomis Fire Department for 29 years.

Doug married Bonnie Fritzler on his 26th birthday on February 2, 1957 in Carrier,

OK. They just celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Doug enjoyed country and western dancing and playing dominoes with his buddies.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Bonnie, daughters, (his shoogies) Jackie

Schroeder and Kelley Wright and her husband Mike Wright and granddaughters

Jenna Schroeder, Brooke Schroeder Torrey, Whitney Wright and Meredith Wright.

He is also survived by his sister, Jodean Chestnut and her husband, Jay.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

to the Waukomis Fire Department or Waukomis Police Department. Condolences
